The alleged murderer of a Northern Irishman in Rojales and his wife are free with charges after being arrested with weapons in Alicante

The National Police were investigating the couple for drug trafficking and Jonathan brandished a pistol at the agents who were going to arrest him.

Back in the dungeons, now in Alicante and for a crime of illegal possession of weapons, and again at large. Northern Ireland’s Jonathan Alan S., accused of killing his compatriot John George Hardy with two shots in Rojales and on bail of 100,000 euros since last December for this murder, has been arrested this week by the National Police in Alicante along with his wife, the British Madison V., 20 years old and an OnlyFans “model”. The couple was being investigated for drug trafficking, although the arrest was finally for a crime of illegal possession of weapons after the police seized two pistols and a shotgun with the barrels sawed off.

The Northern Irishman even took out a pistol and brandished it at the agents who stopped him to arrest him when he was driving in a van near the Alicante part of Moralet, where the couple lived.

The Scientific Police will review the state of the three firearms and check if any of them have been used previously in any criminal act, as is the case of the murder of John George that he is accused of and in which the pistol used was not located.

At the disposal of the court

The two detainees, assisted by lawyers Francisco Miguel Galiana Botella and Alicia Grau Córdoba, were yesterday brought before the duty court of Alicante after having spent three nights in the cells of the Provincial Police Station and the two were provisionally released after appearing in court.

The couple was arrested last Wednesday in Alicante by agents of the Narcotics Group of the Northern District Police Station, where Jonathan, 28, and Maddison were being investigated, as they had suspicions that they could be engaged in drug trafficking.

Maddison was also on provisional release on bail of 20,000 euros after the Civil Guard arrested her in September last year in Torrevieja with almost a kilogram of methamphetamine – crystal meth – that she was transporting in a car. In December she was arrested again in Orihuela Costa along with two men in a car where the Civil Guard seized two ammunition pistols. Likewise, in January he was charged with reckless homicide for causing a traffic accident with a deceased.

At the time of the arrest, a 9 mm caliber Star pistol was seized  from Jonathan and in the subsequent search of his rental home in the Moralet they seized a shotgun with sawed-off barrels, a disassembled revolver, a bulletproof vest, a balaclava, two gloves, a magazine for 31 cartridges, 100 cartridges of 9 mm caliber,  19 of the short 9 mm caliber and a knife and a large knife that he had under his bed.

Sources close to the case have indicated that Jonathan is afraid of being killed after the other accused of the Rojales crime was murdered on March 1 in Torrevieja, hence he had a bulletproof vest.
